Step By Step To Get BEAM AND PORTAL FRAME ANALYSIS

This is an app for beam and portal frame analysis. It calculates forces in beams and portal frames of various support and loading conditions. The load configurations available in the app includes uniform distributed load, non-uniform distributed load, point load, and etc. The app then calculates forces such as reactions, shear, bending moment, and deflection. This is done by pressing Calculate button after entering the input fields. Maximum values and also values at specific location along beam of forces and/or deflections can be calculated by this app. The input from user required includes beam span length, loads, Modulus of Elasticity E, Moment of Inertia I, and distance x along beam. Similarly, for portal frames user is required to input values such as loads, frame width, eave height, rafter height, roof slope, and moment of inertia of members. The forces such as reactions, shear, and bending moment are then calculated and shown as output.
